Overview

I led a six-person DATA 201 team analyzing City of Calgary, Statistics Canada and Calgary Transit datasets. We compared access and commute efficiency across more than 200 communities.

Approach

We created two evaluation measures—the Community Impact Score and People-to-Route Ratio—then built interactive Tableau dashboards and ArcGIS maps to surface underserved neighbourhoods and network bottlenecks.

Outcome

The analysis identified 15 underserved communities and 10 bottleneck zones. We presented three recommendations for more equitable transit expansion, grounded in official Calgary Transit planning material.
